Hearing the WORD

Christian Surfers Outreach is now MIKA Christian Surf Club (MCSC). Founded in 2005, MCSC puts on Surf Camps and other activities in Orange County for children who don't normally have the opportunity to go to the beach and surf. Our purpose is (1) To teach children about salvation through Christ and living in accordance with God’s plan, (2) To provide children an enjoyable safe surfing experience that builds their self-confidence and (3) To teach children about God’s creation, the ocean, and respect for our physical world.

CHRISTIAN SURF LINGO

AERIAL : In surfing, an AERIAL is the name for the move a surfer makes when he powers off the lip of the wave and catches air. It is a difficult move because the surfer has to judge the wave just right to make the take off and then remain in balance as he soars and lands back on the wave. Like an AERIAL trick, God calls us to soar and reach our unique potential. We do this by surrendering ourselves to him and worshiping Him above all others. This allows us to put aside our fears, conceits and distractions and attain the balance of the aerial surfer.
